Bringing Generations Together
Our Big Bumble children enjoy regular visits to our local residential care home. During their visits the elderly residents and children enjoy various activities together, such as arts and crafts, story telling, singing and playing games.
It’s clear that both generations benefit from spending time together, some of the benefits for the residents includes improving their health and care, and reducing loneliness through engagement in meaningful activities.
Meanwhile the benefits for young children are increasingly being recognised, with this contact supporting their progress, learning and development as part of the early years curriculum.
