Exploring Mini-Beasts
The Downstairs Bumbles have been fascinated with all the things they have found in our nursery garden. This week we have found worms, spiders, a woodlouse, a birds nest, a bird egg and a slug. This has led to lots of conversations about where we found them, where they live, what they eat, if they would bite us and if we can take those creatures home! We have built new homes and tried to find leaves and plants that they might like to eat. The children have also been using magnifying glasses to get a closer look at the insects. Some children have continued this interest at home hunting in their gardens and plant pots to see what creatures they can find. We would love to see photos of the things you find in your garden.
