Holiday Club Fun
This week the children at our holiday club have been out and about in the community picking up litter using a variety of body movements including bending, squatting and stretching to the main actions of running, jogging and walking. This is known globally as ‘Plogging’.
‘Plogging’ is a Swedish initiative which combines jogging and litter picking in the local community with the incentive to promote physical exercise and movement skills, a clean environment, and a positive attitude towards looking after the world we live in.
Our Busy Bee ploggers simply take a bag along with them on their outing and pick up litter and recyclables that they find on their route, to be later desposited in refuse or recycling as appropriate.
