Police Interceptors – Visitors to Nursery
On the 28th March 2018 we had a special visit from the police interceptors. Our Big and Little Bumbles were excited to welcome Spike and Pete. They spoke to the children about how to stay safe and that the police are there to help, protect and serve our community and are not there to frighten children or to take them away.
Part of the talk given was around wearing seatbelts when travelling in vehicles, the children have been encouraged to say/shout “stop you must wear your seatbelt” before the vehicle moves.
They were also given the opportunity to explore the police car and the interceptors protective clothing, including handcuffs, walkie talkies and vests.
Spike and Pete have also asked the children to give every police officer and police car they see a welcoming wave.
